TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Another protest hit the streets of Tucson. Over 2,000 “No Kings” protests were held in major cities and small towns across the country including multiple here in southern Arizona.
“We’ve got to represent, we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do no matter what the heat, no matter what the circumstance, we have to say it loud and proud,” one protestor said.
Whether it was on the ground or on wheels, posters, flags, and chants united together for one message: They’re not happy with the current administration.

Tucson, AZ. (Arizona Republic) – Car after car lined Reid Park in Tucson in the late afternoon, with passengers waving flags and signs that decried President Donald Trump’s actions in the warm breeze. Cars crawled forward, bumper to bumper, in the lanes lining the park on Tucson’s south side.
Thousands of Tucsonans showed up for the Motor March as temperatures reached 106 degrees for No Kings Day on June 14. The protest was organized by Democracy Unites Us, AZ 50501, and Indivisible Tucson Action Alliance.

Organizers from Democracy Unites Us, a group with roots in earlier protests this year including the nationally recognized “Tesla protest,” helped coordinate the motorcade that took place later in the day: a 14-mile “drive for democracy” looping through Midtown Tucson. According to Bennett Burke, a Democracy Unites Us Executive Committee member, the motor march was expected to span nearly 10 miles of vehicles, with over 4,400 registered participants.

Demonstrators crowded into streets, parks and plazas across the U.S. on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump, marching through downtowns and blaring anti-authoritarian chants mixed with support for protecting democracy and immigrant rights.
‘No Kings Day’: Thousands of Tucsonans gather at Reid Park, Oro Valley

Around 2,500 people lined the wide boulevard of Oracle Road in Oro Valley, while thousands also gathered at Reid Park in Tucson, and there were similar events in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Green Valley, Rio Rico, and Nogales, Ariz.
A “motor march” was also scheduled for Saturday afternoon, allowing people to show their concern by driving around Reid Park in air-conditioned cars, with temperatures expected to top 110 degrees.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — All along 22nd from Country Club to Randolph, protestors against President Donald Trump were at Reid Park waving American flags and signs denouncing him and his policies.
The Tucson Police Department said the protests were peaceful. Following the protests, a vandalism report was made.

Tucson, AZ. (Arizona Daily Star) – At Saturday afternoon’s vehicle caravan here for ‘No Kings Day,’ organizers have assigned six drivers to act as observers and peacekeepers, said Bennett Burke of Democracy Unites Us, which has led Tucson’s protests against Tesla CEO Elon Musk in recent months.
“We stress cooperation,” said Burke, the police liaison for Democracy Unites Us. “We do the best we can to create peaceful opportunities for people to exercise their First Amendment rights.”

Protests in Tucson and across the country have recently been violent, or have damaged properties. Saturday’s events are expected to draw large crowds, according to organizers.

Democracy Unites Us Announces No Kings Motor March

(Tucson, AZ) On Saturday, June 14, from 3 pm to 5 pm, Democracy Unites Us, in collaboration with concerned citizens and activists, will gather at Reid Park for a “Motor March,” part of the national NO KINGS Nationwide Day of Defiance. Hundreds of decorated cars will form a caravan, driving a 13-mile route through midtown, during Donald Trump’s birthday military parade in Washington D.C.
