No Kings National Event Day: June 14, 2025
The Motor March convoy will take place simultaneously with the military parade in Washington, D.C., creating a powerful, unified demonstration of resistance with our own People’s Parade.
The Route
- Starting Point: Reid Park and other staging areas
- End Point: Your chosen staging area (we encourage you to complete a full loop!)
- Time: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Preparation
Please PUT A LARGE 2ft x 2ft “X” ON YOUR CAR ROOF so drones can see and count you from above!
Showcase your creativity! “Dress up” your vehicle to send a strong message of unified resistance.
Visit How to Participate for decorating tips and tricks!
The Convoy: Start and Finish
You can join the convoy with your decorated vehicle at any time. For the start, simply arrive at Reid Park or any other designated staging area before 3 pm and follow the safety guidelines. Staging Areas are labeled by red car icons on the map above (click for further details).
It is suggested to arrive at Reid Park or any other designated staging areas between 2 and 3 pm; you do not have to come early to find a parking spot. Using the staging areas, there will be plenty of parking, so just come and get settled before the takeoff time of 3 pm. (ex., if you parked at El Con or a suggested side street, you may not have to get to that location before 2:45 or thereabouts.)
Everyone parked in the staging areas and at Reid Park will leave at the same time: 3 pm. Just look at your watches. There are no lead cars, no starting gun, just go! We encourage all vehicles to make at least one complete loop of the route, returning to where you started from and then dispersing.
To avoid as much congestion as we can at Reid Park (three lots: the Concert Place and Picnic Place entrances are on Country Club, and the Lakeshore Drive entrance is on 22nd), we encourage you to consider parking at one of the other staging areas identified on the more detailed live Google map. There will be no organizational meeting at Reid Park, just a place to park.

Rules of the Road
In case of accident or emergency, call 911
If you experience mechanical problems, flat tire, etc., exit the Motor March to a safe place while you seek assistance
All Motor March vehicles will stay in the right lanes along the route, making only right turns
Obey all traffic laws as you would anytime you drive; the Motor March has no specific “right of way” or special privileges
Drive 5 miles per hour slower than posted speed limits to encourage drivers not part of our Motor March to move into left lanes
Drivers must not use phones or other electronic devices while traveling, but we encourage you to have a passenger in your vehicle with access to our Motor March communications channels for updates and information along the way
When you stop, leave access for regular traffic to enter and exit side streets and parking lots
When driving, don’t follow vehicles in front of you too closely
Do not engage in any way with counter-protesters or drivers in other vehicles. That means no verbal responses, no gestures, and no use of your vehicle to create any obstructions or to impede the traffic of any other driver
If joining the parade along the route, which we encourage many of you to do to avoid congestion at Reid Park, enter only from designated staging areas, or from other locations where you can enter the Motor March by making only right turns
You can leave the route at any time; please exit safely
Stay Connected
During the Motor March, we will have many avenues to stay connected and help make this historic event a success!
The Communications Hub: live.drivefordemocracy.com
First off, your hub for all in-the-moment communication channels is live.drivefordemocracy.com. You can visit this site on your smart phone’s browser, such as Safari (for iPhone) or Chrome. Note the “live” prefix! This is a special subdomain just for our broadcasts and resources during the event!
When you go to the page, your browser will prompt you for your location. Please allow location sharing!
The Live Location-Tracking Map
This event is going to be big. Next-level, history-making BIG.
How big? Well that’s where you come in! At live.drivefordemocracy.com, we have a collaborative location-sharing map. When you visit the page, your browser will pop up a notification asking to share your location. Please click allow! This will display your location on the map–and it will do the same for every other person sharing their location in the route! You will be able to see, in real-time, just how far the motor march has spread across the city, and we will be able to better coordinate traffic flow!
The map will only display your location while you are near the route or one of the staging areas. Once you have left the route, your phone will no longer send its location to the server.
Need a reminder of where the route is? At the top right corner of the map, there is a button for you to show the route.
This map was built by our very own team of professional software engineers in Democracy Unites Us for this event. There is no backend database, no following people back to their houses–just a live view of cars in the Motor March!
The Motor March HQ Live Stream
Next on live.drivefordemocracy.com , we have an embedded Youtube livestream. If you’re ready to listen in, just click the play button! If you are driving alone, this should be sufficient to listen in. If you are a passenger and would like to interact more, feel free to watch!
In the stream, we will have live footage of the event, showcase pictures and videos of all those creative cars, highlight local orgs and people in the community, and provide traffic updates as needed. This will be your best place to keep up with the “big picture” of the event that you’re taking part in.
The stream will begin at 2:00 p.m. Get settled at your chosen staging area and listen in while you wait for the march to start at 3:00! We will continue to provide coverage throughout the duration of the event.
The No Kings Discord Server
If you would like to communicate with other participants in the event, our No Kings Discord server will be your place to go. There will be 4 voice channels that you can join to talk with other participants.
If you are a passenger and can do so safely, you are also welcome to interact in the text channels. Post pics of car decorations, provide updates to other participants, or just chat. You know the deal. . . the link to join can be found at live.drivefordemocracy.com ! Click “Join the Discord” and then “Accept Invite”. Once you’re in, you will see all channels for texting/talking on the left-hand side.
The Shared Google Drive
Did we mention . . . this event is going to be BIG? So big, that there is no possible way for us to capture all the decorated cars that will be spread all across the city. That’s where you come in again!
On live.drivefordemocracy.com, we have a link to a shared google drive where you can upload your pictures and videos. Standing protestors especially: this is your time to shine! As viewers of the passing vehicles, you will be well-positioned to show the world Tucson’s “No Kings” creativity! Click “Upload to Google Drive” on the site, and then click the “+” button on the bottom right corner to upload your files.
Please be aware that any pictures or videos you upload may be shared live on stream, broadcast on news and social media, etc. Let’s show the world that Tucson will have NO KINGS!
Other Ways to Enjoy the Motor March
Check out live.drivefordemocracy.com in advance so you’re ready to go for the motor march. But if you don’t want to deal with tech at all, no worries! Converse with friends in your car, blast your favorite music alone, honk up a storm, or (for those willing to brave the Arizona heat) cheer on the parade! This event is nothing without YOU showing up wherever and however you can!
So let’s DO THIS–and show Trump who this country belongs to.
